Alexander R. Beer

I'm the Lead Energy Merchandiser at ALCIVIA, a farmer-owned cooperative in Wisconsin. I manage hedging, basis exposure, and logistics for a physical book of gasoline, distillates, and propane across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois.

Before ALCIVIA, I worked on ExxonMobil's crude analytics team in Houston and in risk management at Ardent Mills. I also build my own tools in Python, including price scrapers, freight-spread models, risk reports, and the bid calculator below, so that decisions rest on current data instead of manual spreadsheets.

I studied finance and risk management at UW–Madison, where I rowed for the Division I men's team. Away from work you'll find me fly fishing, backpacking in Colorado, paddling the Boundary Waters, or reading.
